Terms & Conditions

Rent portal provides software tools for owners, building caretakers, and tenants to manage rental operations — including buildings, rooms, tenancies, dues, payments, documents, and related communications — via the website and native apps (for example iOS builds listed on the Apple App Store). Features may change as we improve the product.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Owners are responsible for the accuracy of tenancy, rent, and payment data they enter, and for granting caretaker or tenant access only to appropriate people.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harass others.
• Attempt to access another user’s data without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by probing, scraping at abusive rates, or introducing malware.
• Misrepresent payments, identities, or documents uploaded through the Service.

The Service may help you record rent, track balances, generate payment links, or share UPI details. We are not a bank, payment gateway, or escrow. Actual money movement happens between you and your payment providers or counterparties. You are responsible for verifying amounts before paying or marking items paid, and for complying with applicable tax and accounting rules.

You retain ownership of data you upload (for example tenant documents and payment proofs). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and people you authorize. You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and share that content.

Payment, receipt, and document-upload links may be opened without signing in. Anyone with the link can use the intended guest action. Keep those links confidential and rotate or disable them when appropriate.

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or pose a security risk.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Rent calculations and balances depend on data you enter; always verify critical figures before acting on them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rent portal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for amounts arising from disputes between owners and tenants. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us (if any) for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid no fees.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or restrict access if you breach these terms. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply to you.
